Lampasas (Online - Friday) and Bowie (Online-Saturday) TFA IQT Swing -

November 7th and 8th, 2025

Hosted via NSDA Campus

We will be offering all TFA qualifying events as long as they meet minimum entry requirements. We will communicate leading up to the week of the tournament regarding those events that need help with entries. In addition, we will be following all TFA rules and regulations laid out in the TFA Constitution. There MUST be a school employee should be available to contact in case something happens during the online portions of the tournament.

BOTH SIDES OF THE SWING WILL BE COMPLETELY ONLINE!!!

Lampasas and Bowie students will be participating in the Home Initiative on their respective sides of the swing. Additionally, we will panel elimination rounds of debate starting in semi-finals but a good faith attempt will be made to provide them in quarters. All elimination rounds will have three judges in Individual Events. We will use high-low for power matching the third round of debate. We will NOT break brackets in debate events. Novice CX debate will be required to use theNDCA Novice Packet.

Sweepstakes Formula

1 pt for each win in debate, 10 pts for non-advancing quarter finals, 12 for non-advancing semi-finalists, 15 for 2nd in debate, and 20 for 1st in debate.

1st-20, 2nd-15, 3rd-12, 4th-10, 5th-8, 6th-6 will be the point assignment for individual events.

CX:will use the NFHS 2025-2026 Policy Topic.

LD:will use the 2025 NSDA NOV/DEC LD Topic

PF: will use the 2025 NSDA NOV/DEC PF Topic.

Novice Extemp: All rounds will be about the Middle East

Lampasas Congress Prelims: 11-15 (In that order)

Bowie Congress Prelims: 15-11 (In that order)

Bowie Congress Finals: 20-16 (In that order)

Lampasas WSDRD 1 and RD 2: This House would increase protection and preservation of public lands. Info Slide: Public lands are held and administered by the federal, state, or local government. They are maintained for the use and enjoyment of the public.

Lampasas WSD Finals: This House would regulate artificial intelligence as a public utility.

Bowie WSD RD 1 and RD 2: This House believes that hacktivism is a legitimate tool of resistance. Info Slide: Hacktivism refers to the use of cyberattacks and hacking techniques to advance political, social, or ideological causes.

Bowie WSD Finals: This House, as the EU, would ban member nations from importing Russian natural gas.

Fees:

Congress: $15 per entry
