Events:

We will be offering all KHSSL Junior and Senior Speech events. Students may only enter ONE event. There will be two rounds of performances with no final round.

Fees:

There will be a $1 fee for each entry (including Duo Acting, Duo Interp, and Improv Duo) to cover the cost of tabroom. Teams are encouraged to bring as many judges as possible in order to take advantage of the judge training that will be provided. The recommended minimum number is one judge for every six entries, but more are certainly welcome. Please make checks payable to Graves County High School.

Other Information:

• Leave the suits at home, this will be a casual dress tournament.

• Since these rounds are purely for practice judges may be assigned to rounds with students from their own schools.

• If possible, some rooms may have multiple judges providing critiques (more practice for judges, more feedback for the students)

• Students may only compete in one event at this tournament to allow them to stay in the room to watch other competitors.

• In Broadcasting, Round 1 will be the Commercial round and Round 2 will be the new Breaking News round.

• While there will not be any placement awards or sweepstakes we will have a brief “closing ceremony” to wrap things up and close out the day.
