Using NSDA Rooms for Speech and Debate Online Rounds

To use NSDA rooms on Tabroom, log in, navigate to the tournament's "Current" tab, and click the blue video icon next to your assigned round to join the competition room. Before the tournament, ensure your account is linked to your coach's NSDA roster for eligibility. Use Google Chrome for the best experience and remember to grant camera and microphone access if prompted.

For students
Log in: Sign in to your Tabroom.com account.
Find your tournament: Go to the "Current" tab and find the tournament you are in.
Locate your round: Find the "Online Spaces" section and look for the video icon next to your assigned round. This is also where you can find your school's squad room.
Join the room: Click the video icon next to the round to enter the NSDA Campus room.
Participate: A new tab will open. You can use the chat, mute/unmute, turn your video on/off, and use the raise hand feature.

For judges
Log in and find the ballot: Log in to Tabroom.com and click the "Current" tab to find your assigned ballot and the competition room link.
Join the room: Click the video icon next to the competition room to join the virtual space.
Manage flights: If the event is flighted (e.g., flight one, flight two), you will need to exit one room, return to Tabroom, and click the video icon for the next flight's room when it is time.

Important tips
Use Google Chrome: NSDA Campus works best with the Google Chrome browser.
Grant permissions: If your camera or microphone aren't working, click the lock icon in the URL bar and allow access to your camera and microphone.
Link accounts: Ensure your NSDA and Tabroom accounts are linked. Your coach can do this by importing your NSDA roster into your school's Tabroom page.
Close other apps: Close any other video conferencing apps like Zoom to prevent conflicts with your camera and microphone.
