Shark Tank-(Friday Night)

• This event allows Hybrid Entries where students from multiple schools can team up.

• This event will be judged by collegiate DECA students from USU. There is no judge burden for this event!

Event Description

In this speech event, competitors will pitch a business idea to a judge, similar to presenting to investors in shows like Shark Tank or DECA competitions. The goal is to clearly communicate the concept, demonstrate its viability, and persuade the judge of its potential for success.

· Presentation Time: 7 minutes

· Judge Q&A: 3 minutes

· Entry Size: 1–4 students per team

· Visual Aids: Allowed and encouraged (e.g., posters, tri-boards, slideshows)

Competitors must bring their own prepared idea, product, or service to present. Judges will use the official speech rubric to evaluate and rank performances.
