Good Morning everyone,
It is officially time to send out all the information you will need for the divisional meet this year.
Like stated in my previous email we will be having a two day divisional this year. Dates are January 24th & 25th.
Registration will start at 9:00 a.m. Friday January 24th. Due to being a little short on rooms we will be running
staggered rounds. Please see below for schedule and times. There will be bus parking available by the New Gym and
the breezeway doors will be open for everyone coming back and forth.
Registration will remain open in tabroom until January 13th. Teams will be able to drop and make name changes until
January 17th, drop fees will be added after this date. Registration fees will be $6 per event and $12 for team / theater
groups. All events will be conducted as per the rules in the 2024-2025 MHSA handbook. Extemporaneous will be
using January topics.
Debate will use the topics that took effect January 1st, 2025.
Lincoln- Douglas: Resolved: The United States ought to become party to the United Nations Convention on the Law of
the Sea and/or the Rome Statute of International Criminal court.
Public Forum: Resolved: The African Union should grant diplomatic recognition to the Republic of Somaliland as and
independent state.
The common area for the students will be over in the new gym this year. There have been some improvements made
on the gym over the summer, including a redone floor. With that being said no outside shoes will be allowed on the
court. The school also ask the students limit just water to inside the gym. Please remind students to clean up after
themselves. Explore America will be offering concessions again. If your school will be having tabs please bring a list of
competitors and their limit to Tracie Smith.
There are not many options in Froid for food after events are over. With that being said our BPA group will be offering
a meal after events have finished on Friday. If your team would be interested please let me know. They will be serving
super nachos with a bar and water for $10.
