Harrisburg Middle School Interp Tournament
Harrisburg is happy to invite you to the Harrisburg Middle School Interp Tournament on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 hosted by Harrisburg High School.
We will offer three rounds of competition. Drama, Humor, Non-O, and Poetry will be divided into 7th and 8th grade divisions. 6th grade students may be entered into the 7th grade division. Duo, Storytelling, and Readers Theatre will be combined grade levels.
We will follow SDHSAA rules in all events with the exception of the theme in Storytelling. There is no required theme for Storytelling.
Time limits for all events except storytelling will be 10 minutes. Storytelling time limit is 5 minutes. All events have a 30 second grace period.

Students may double enter, but they are responsible for getting to rounds on time. There is a registration fee of $3 per individual entry and $6 per duet or RT. Each school is required to furnish one judge for every five(or fraction thereof) entries. (For example, 1-6 entries requires 1 judge; 7-12 entries requires 2 judges, etc.) High school students in grades 10-12 who have participated in a significant number of high school oral interp rounds may serve as judges.
We have a limited number of judges available to hire. If you need to hire a judge, please indicate that on your entry.
Registrations are due by Saturday, April 2. Fees and judges will be based on entries received at that time.
Checks should be made out to HHS Speech and Debate.
