Below you will find information as it relates to our district, lunch, judging assignments, reporting times, locations and schedules: Our contests are being managed by all of our district interp, speech and debate coaches and we are so excited to have you join us.

LD Debate

LD Debate will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Greggton United Methodist Church, 1101 Pine Tree Road, Longview, TX.

Arrival: Students may begin arriving at 8:00 AM. We will have a coaches meeting at 8:30 AM. A meeting with all judges will follow at 8:45 AM. Rounds begin at 9:00 AM. 

Food: Lunch will be provided by Jason´s Deli - please let Mr. Branson (lbranson@ptisd.org) know via email what you would like (Options are Turkey, Ham or Veggie)

Schedule (All Elim Rounds will be Paneled):

9:00 AM - Round 1

10:00 AM - Round 2

11:00 AM - Round 3

12:00 PM - Lunch

12:30 PM - Coach Verification

1:00 PM - Quarter Finals (Partial)

2:00 PM - Semi-FInals

3:00 PM - Finals & 3rd Place Round

4:00 PM - Awards

Interp & Extemp

Persuasive, Informative, Prose and Poetry will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Pine Tree High School, 1701 Pine Tree Road, Longview, TX. The Interp / Extemp tabulation area will be in the Library.

Arrival: Students may begin arriving at 7:30 AM. We will have a coaches meeting at 8:00 AM. We will finalize any doc checks between 8:30 AM & 8:45 AM. (Most of our interp doc checks will be finalized prior to the tournament). A meeting with all judges will follow at 8:45 AM. Rounds begin at 9:00 AM.

Food: A Potato bar with salad for hospitality and a concession stand in the cafeteria for the students. We will offer pizza to the students for lunch. 2 pieces of pizza, chips and a drink for $5. Please reply to Mr. Branson (lbranson@ptisd.org) if your students plan to eat lunch from concessions so he can order the appropriate amount of pizza.
