Dear ICDA Debate Coach:

Grayslake North High School would like to invite you and your debaters to the fourth Illinois Congressional Debate Association tournament of the 2021-2022 school year. 

Entry Deadline:          

Entries are due by 5:00 P.M. Friday, December 10.  You will need to enter your debaters in Tabroom. Make sure to indicate which students are participating in the junior varsity portion of the tournament and which students are participating in the varsity portion. 

Fees:                             

The entry fee is $10 for each debater whether JV or Varsity – based upon the original registration.

Judging:                         

·    One ICDA Certified judge is required for every ten entries (or fraction thereof – so 11 students would require 2 full-time judges).

·    Judges should be entered on Tabroom no later than Wednesday, December 15 at 5 PM.

·    All judges should have a Tabroom account that is linked to your school.

·    A full-time judge is considered a someone who judges THREE full rounds.  

·    Judging assignments will not be available until the day of the tournament.

·    Judging assignments will be based upon original registration at the entry deadline. 

·    No new judge training will be held: it is the responsibility of the head coach to ensure that ALL hired judges are trained and prepared to judge the event.

Legislation:                   

·      Submissions for the January 29 ICDA Tournament (ICDA V) must be submitted to Tabroom with your ICDA 4 registration.

Coach/Judge Food:

Student Pizza:                             

·   Grayslake North HS will provide pizza to be purchased in advance for debaters. Orders are due the same day as registration. $15/$16 per 14” pizza or $30/34 per sheet pizza.
