• Events offered: Policy and Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Original Oratory

• Cost: $4 per student, $15 per school

• One judge for every 4 entries

• Tournament will use tabroom; judges need device to record ballots

All events will follow the Utah rules and time constraints as posted on utahdebatecoaches.org on the middle school page. Topics will be as follows:

Policy: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its protection of water resources in the United States in one or more of the following areas: drinking water, hydraulic fracturing, and/or agricultural use of water.

Lincoln-Douglas: Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee universal child care.
