The Beverly Hills High School Speech and Debate Team invites you to attend the online Beverly Hills Big Questions International Invitational on Saturday, November 20, 2021. All rounds will be virtual using Zoom.

Registration is via the Tabroom.com website. You need to have a Tabroom.com account to compete or judge. If you have trouble creating one just email us below and we can help.

There will be Open and Novice divisions in both Middle School and High School Divisions. Novice is defined as a student in their first year of debate competition.

Tournament fee: $8 per entry, no school fee

Super Important Guest Judges: V and Jin from BTS (pending confirmation)

8:30 - 9 am: School and Team Registration Check-In Online and Judge Training

9:00 - 9:40 am: Round 1

9:55 - 10:35 am:Round 2

10:45 - 11:25 am: Round 3

11:25 am - 12:00 pm:Lunch

12:00 - 12:30 pm: Round 4

12:40 - 1:20 pm: Round 5

1:25 – 2:00 pm: Quarter Finals

2:15 – 25:5 pm: Semis

3:15 – 4:00 pm: Finals

4:00 – 4:40 pm: Awards / End of Tournament

Format: Total round time is 36 minutes including 3 minutes prep time for each speaker. There will be 10-minute breaks between rounds: 5 minutes – Affirmative Constructive Speech 5 minutes - Negative Constructive Speech 3 minutes - Crossfire Questions 4 minutes - Affirmative Rebuttal 4 minutes - Negative Rebuttal 3 minutes - Crossfire Questions 3 minutes - Affirmative Consolidation 3 minutes - Negative Consolidation 3 minutes - Affirmative Rationale 3 minutes - Negative Rationale
