Greetings!

And welcome to Southside High School.  In an effort to spark competition in the deep South, we are offering a virtual tournament experience.  We will host open-division speech events as well as novice and advanced divisions of Lincoln Douglas and Policy Debate.  We will offer an open division of Public Forum too.  Congressional Debate will take place on Thursday evening.

* All competition will be synchronous (live) for all events.  I recommend that coaches have a back-up recording of the following events in case of a tech emergency (Dramatic, Humorous, Oral Interp, POI, Oratory, Declamation, Duo). 

* We would like to offer Congressional Debate on Thursday evening (October 28).  You may enter as many students as you like; however, if you enter more than 4 students, please provide an adult who could possibly serve as parliamentarian and/or judge.  If we do not have enough parliamentarians, we will need to reduce the number of entries per school.  **If you would like to submit legislation, please email me by noon on Friday, October 22. An Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday evening (either live or recorded).  Awards will be delivered or shipped to schools the week following the tournament.
