Dear Speech Coaches:

On behalf of the Southern Valley Speech Team, we are excited to invite you to attend the Southern Valley Speech Tournament on Saturday, January 16, 2021.  The meet will be hosted at online with Southern Valley Schools as hosts.

Events: We will run all nine NSAA events. Contestants are allowed to triple enter, but please keep in mind students will be on a tight schedule.   

Competition/ Awards: The tournament will include both novice and varsity divisions with medals awarded to the top six places in both novice and varsity events. If the tournament entries are low, we will run Novice and Varsity competitors together, but will still award separately.  We will also give plaques to the top and runner-up team in both novice and varsity divisions!  You may enter each competitor in a maximum of three events.  The format will include three rounds, NO FINALS. 

Registration: To help us with planning, please email Kaitlin Nathan at kaitlin.nathan@sveagles.org at your earliest convenience to let us know that your team will be attending.  Fees are $7.00 per entry and you need to provide one judge per six entries or pay an additional $75.00 for any uncovered entries.  We would prefer judges over money, so please do your best to cover your entries.  All entries are due Monday, January 11, 2021, with any changes being completed by Wednesday, January 13 by 5 p.m..  There will be no entries accepted the morning of the tournament.  We will be using David Cooper’s program and all entries will be handled online; to register please visit http://southern_valley.tabroom.com.
