Minnetonka Invitational Tournament LD CX Congress

Hello Everyone!

 

Welcome to Minnetonka's 1st main format debate tournament. We will be partnering with UDL to provide you with events in the following categories: LD, Congress, and Policy Debate.

The Minnetonka Debate Program is pleased to "host" you online for this year's Minnetonka. 

We will host this event on the MDTA Jitsi server.  We have dropped the entry fee for congress to $5 per slot.  Entry fees in all other events remain at $15.

9:00 a.m. - Drops Due (you should have some kind of check-in with your students & judges before this)

9:15 a.m. - Tech check-in for session 1

9:30 a.m. - Start of Congress Session 1

11:30 p.m. - End of Congress Session 1

11:30 - 12:45 p.m. - Lunch Break

12:45 p.m. - Tech check for session 2

1:00 p.m. - Start of Congress Session 2

3:00 p.m. - End Congress Session 2

3:30 p.m. - Tech check for final session

3:45 p.m. - Start of Congress Final Session

4:45 p.m. - End Congress Final Session

 

LD Topic:

Varsity/JV will still use the compulsory Voting Topic

Novice will still be on the MDTA novice topic nukes

Also, a VERY important reminder that it is ESSENTIAL that your students and judges have Tabroom accounts active and linked. They will not be able to compete or judge without one.

Students will need to download Jitsi on their devices. Please ensure they do this before the morning of the tournament so we can get started on time.
