Dear UIL Coordinator/Sponsor:

 

Begin the 2021 UIL season with us at Pine Tree High School on January 8th & 9th, 2021.   We will use UIL Set A materials for Academic Events. (For Speech events please bring both Set A and B materials along with documentation. Note the date for Speech and Debate events is on January 8th- 9th.

  

EVENTS:  This contest includes all UIL events. The Academic events will be separated into large schools and small schools.  Large Schools consists of 5A and 6A and Small Schools consists of 1A thru 4A.

REGISTRATION:   Please register at pinetree.tabroom.com.  If you have any questions, contact Lee Branson by email at lbranson@ptisd.org.  For Speech & Debate questions please email Ryan Stokes at rstokes@ptisd.org. Tests and student papers will be picked up after each event in the grading room.  
 

DEADLINES:  We will need to have your entries in our possession by the Thursday prior to the tournament at 4pm. You may make substitutions online after this date, but late drops will result in the loss of your entry fee.

 

ENTRY FEES: $10 per entry for the academic events. 20$ for LD and CX Entrees. 10$ for IEs.  Mail your check to Lee Branson (payable to Pine Tree High School UIL) or bring to the registration table the day of the meet.   Sponsor packets and student schedules will be available at registration. Contest Directors will conduct a roll check in the room before the contest to handle any last minute substitutions.

 

JUDGING:  Each school will be required to provide judges.  You must supply a judge/grader for every event in which your school is entered.   


AWARDS: Awards will be passed out immediately after verification in the grading room.Test materials will be released from the grading room immediately after the presentation of awards. Awards will be given for the top 6 places in each event.  Medals will also be given to the top 3 students in each grade level for the math and science events. Plaques will be given to the top performing schools based on the UIL point system. Unclaimed medals will be mailed with the packets if a $10 fee is paid with registration. Remember there will be two divisions for all academic events this year.  Division One is 5A-6A schools.  Division Two is 1A-4A schools. 

 

OTHER INFORMATION:

We will take 4 entries per school in all events with the following exceptions:

Number Sense, Calculator, Math, and Science Contests:  6 entries.
Computer Applications: 3 entries 

Computer Science:  this year we will offer Hands-On  

 

*******Testing for the Number Sense, Calculator, Math, and Science events will be located on the second floor of the building adjacent to the cafeteria, in the 900 hall.

             

 Check-In and Hospitality Room:  
Check-In will be in the main office (New Wing) for all academic events beginning at 7:15 am. 
A hospitality room for coaches and judges will also be provided in our new Pine Tree Bistro located in the 600 hall. Breakfast and lunch will be served.  A concession stand will be available for students in the cafeteria.
