A NOTE FROM NMSDF:

Thank you so much for joining us for this very special tournaments. We are so grateful to the NIETOC and the UKTOC committees for empowering New Mexico's Speech & Debate students by granting bids in speech for NMSDF's first tournament. All funds raised through registration will be distributed amongst NM's National Qualifiers. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Feel free to email info.nmsdf@gmail.com or reach out to Sheridan directly at johnsons@aa.edu.

All payments can be made through the NSMDF website.

Some special news! The first place school award will be given a handmade embroidered ring from 2019 OO Semifinalist Carolyn Wang.  First place champions in each event will receive a plush chile made by local artist Eleanor Smith (in addition to standards awards, of course).

While IE's will be asynchronous (excepting extemp), we hope to create space for community engagement by offering two free Speech events--a Speech Round Robin on Friday and an Open Mic on Saturday.  A specific invitation for these events will be posted soon!  We are selecting community volunteers to support these events now, and look forward to providing feedback for students from professional actors, speakers, poets, and politicians. If you'd like to offer your services, please let me know!

We will post updates to the homepage as they become available. We can't wait to see you in February!
