Lion Debate Invitational

2020 — Online, NY/US

Welcome to the LION DEBATE INVITATIONAL!

Thank you for considering competing at this tournament! This tournament will take place on Sunday, August 30! It will be run on this tabroom website but rounds and communication will take place on the Lion Debate Invitational Discord Server!

This tournament is a perfect opportunity for teams to compete/practice for the following upcoming national tournaments:

NSDA Season Opener by UK, Jack Howe Memorial Tournament, Grapevine Classic, Loyola Invitational, Duke Invitational, and the Yale Invitational!

Come Join Us!

This tournament is being hosted to fundraise money for a high school debate team. However, you can compete at this tournament for free, more info below! These funds would help our debate team continue to be engaged in debate without cost barriers. We are a school team that doesn't receive any funding and so any amount of money would increase our access to debating at tournaments, including at least one national tournament this year. We hope this tournament also provides more opportunity for debaters to practice their skills before the 2020-2021 season starts!

We hope you compete in this tournament! Feel free to contact us on the discord server or send us an email with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Public Forum Eligibility

- Mavericks are allowed.

- Independent entries are encouraged!

- Hybrid teams are allowed.

- Middle school and high school students are allowed to compete!
