WELCOME!

Welcome to the 2020 Summer Crisis Congress Classic, hosted by the Online Congressional Debate League. (Not affiliated with VHSL, NSDA, UK, or etc.) This tournament will be hosted June 27th to June 28th. We are an OPEN tournament, meaning anyone (Middle School and High School Congress Debaters) is welcomed to register and participate!

This is a CRISIS TOURNAMENT. - A fuse of Model UN & Congressional Debate - Prelim Session 1 will be run as a regular legislative session. Prelim Session 2 & ALL OUTROUNDS are CRISIS SESSIONS: Competitors will be called to a Google Meet and receive legislation ONE HOUR before session begins. They are to prepare and politic in session. Competitors are provided memorandums (in lieu of a legislation packet) which serve as briefs, or short messages on the possible issues. They will debate past, present and near future issues. The Online Debate League is an organization that hosts online Speech, Debate, and Model United Nations competitions and provides resources and staffing for tournament directors.

FUNDRAISER

This is a FUNDRAISER TOURNAMENT! In these trying times, we wanted to use this tournament as a way to give back to those who are the most in need. Thus, we’ll be raising money for the United Nations Children's Fund [UNICEF]. This tournament is a fuse of Congress & Model UN, so we’re donating to the UN organization to help fight the global pandemic!

All proceeds on GoFundMe are sent directly to UNICEF!

In addition, for every entry we will donate $1 to UNICEF!
