2020 — Shawnee, KS/US

Dear Colleagues,

You and your programme are cordially invited to attend the inaugural Mill Valley National Individual Event Tournament of Champions Qualifying Forensics Tournament to be hosted on February 14 and 15, 2020.

We are offering the following events on Friday, the 14th:

·        Congressional Debate

·        Lincoln-Douglas Debate

·        Public Forum

We are pleased to offer NIETOC Bids in the following events on Saturday, the 15th:

·        Dramatic Interpretation

·        Humourous Interpretation

·        Duo Interpretation

·        Duet

·        Original Oratory

·        Informative (10)

·        Programme Oral Interpretation

·        Extemporaneous Speaking – we will have International and United States divisions

Non-NIETOC events offered on Saturday, the 15th:

·        Prose

·        Poetry

·        Impromptu

We have a fairly small but terribly passionate young team, we are looking to ensure judges but we will need your assistance in terms of filling the judging pool. For schools with over 30 entries, you are expected to bring a per additional 5 entries over the 30 allowed. If we have a surplus of judging, we will make it public that we can host a larger tournament cap of entries. Given the nature of hosting a tournament in the dead of winter, coaches and assistants should anticipate having a ballot for Saturday morning, during the first Individual Events round.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Best,

Sohail Jouya
