PLEASE NOTE!! :

Due to construction on Minnesota Ave/SD 115 and on our building, there are some changes with arrival times.

• Our administration has said that you MUST be here before 2:45. Our buses arrive at this time and we cannot interfere.
• The construction on the school means that parking is limited. You may ONLY park in the large parking lot south of the building. If you bring a bus, they should plan to drop you off and then park at South Middle School until 3:30. The lot will have cleared out by then, and they will be able to find space to park.
• In addition, Minnesota Ave/SD 115 is closed in the vicinity of HHS. This means that HHS is accessible only from Willow Ave/273^rd Street. This is causing congestion at surrounding intersections so please plan accordingly and be on time.

Events and entries

Schools may have an unlimited number of entries in each of our seven (7) divisions:  Humorous Interp, Storytelling, Duo Interp, Dramatic Interp, Non-Original Oratory, Poetry, and Readers Theatre. To keep the tournament running in a timely manner, students may be entered in NO MORE THAN two events, unless the third event is Readers Theatre.

Please register your entries online by Friday, October 18 at 5:00 PM

South Dakota High School Activity Association rules will govern this contest.

Fees

Entry fees for the contest will be $4 per contestant per individual events, $8 per duo entry and $12 per Reader’s Theatre entry.  Fees will be assessed based on the entries received by 5pm on Friday, October 18, 2019.  Fees must be paid on or before registration, and checks can be made out to Harrisburg High School Speech & Debate.

Judges

Each school must provide one judge for every 5 students or fraction thereof.  We have a SMALL POOL of judges available for hire at $60 each. Hired judges will be available on a first come, first served basis.
