Washburn Big Questions Debate

2019 — Minneapolis, MN/US

Your team is invited to participate in the Miller Big Questions Debate Tournament at Washburn High School on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019. This tournament will serve as a great opportunity for practice before the Big Questions NSDA qualifier in early May. The tournament will feature three rounds, starting at 4:15. Teams should arrive to Washburn at 3:30pm. The tournament will also offer a complimentary dinner, additional concessions for sale, and handmade classic Miller Rolling Pin trophies for the top five speakers at the tournament. Funds raised from this tournament will be put towards traveling tournaments for the Washburn Debate Team's 2018-19 season.

More information about the tournament will be posted on our tabroom page. Entry fees are $10 per team for non-Minneapolis Public Schools, and free for Minneapolis Public Schools. Entry fees will be collected at the tournament, and teams should be registered on tabroom prior to the tournament. There is no cap on how many teams a school may send to this tournament.

The topic is, "Resolved: Humans are primarily driven by self-interest." You can find evidence and more on NSDA's website through this link.

We hope to see you all on the 5th!

Sincerely,

Mary Dierkes
