Hello All! I hope you have had a great Holiday Break and are looking forward to the Hurricane Talkabout tournament coming up. Just some reminders to ensure everyone is on the same page here are a few notices, and feel free to direct any questions to ballotdebate@gmail.com. 

-Please attempt to get rough estimated registration by Tuesday of next week. 

-Do not print codes for students until an email is sent out that they are programmed correctly. Based on numbers of students in events the codes may change. 

-Please do not put your judges on tabroom, you are under the normal Utah State requirments for judge fulfillment, but they do not need to be input on tabroom, and will be removed form the website anyway. 

-We are offering a wide variety of events and please be aware of all the IE events available to students and try to spread your teams out as much as you can. We would hope that instead of putting every student in SPAR or Imporomptu they take the opportunity to try something new. 

- We will be using the following topics: 

LD: Resolved: The United States ought not provide military aid to authoritarian regimes.

PF: Resolved: The United States federal government should prioritize reducing the federal debt over promoting economic growth.

Policy: The United States federal government should substantially reduce its restrictions on legal immigration to the United States.

Extemp: January topics only!! (Any Access needed can be directed by Ballotdebate@gmail.com) 

Congress: The docut is listed on the website, send an email if there is any problem accessing it

Registration: 3:00 (We can not pair anything until all coaches have checked in the tabroom) 

Debate Round 1: 3:30 - 5:00

Debate Round 2 5:15 - 6:30 

Debate Round 3 6:45 - 8:00

Congress 1:3:45 - 5:45

Congress 2: 6:15 - 8: 15

Saturday: 

IE Round 1: 8:30 - 9:30  

IE Round 2: 9:45 - 10:45

IE Round 3: 11:00 - 12:00
