Event Description:
National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) rules and procedures determine advancement and placing based upon cumulative ranking by judges. Key tournament information will be listed below. For more details, please read the Student/Judge Information packet posted on our tabroom website.
- All rounds will be held via Zoom. You must have a Zoom account in order to compete.
- Internet access will be allowed.
- Presiding Officers will be provided by the tournament administration, and will not be competing.
- Direct cross examination will be used throughout the entire tournament.
- Each sponsor and first negative will give a 2-minute final appeal speech – with no questioning – when debate concludes on their legislation, which will be scored as a final addition to their speech, but not count for precedence/recency.
- Updates for competitors and judges will be released on Remind and our tabroom website. All competitors and judges must join the Remind channel.
- Chamber assignments and postings will be posted on our tabroom website.
