Event Description:
Basic background of the format is as follows. It's a mixture of PF, LD, and policy.

- topic: Resolved: K-12 schools in the United States should require all students to wear school uniforms while at school.
- coin flip set up for sides or speaker position
- 2-2-2 speech times.
- Constructive (2min) - read your case - it's a google doc. Don't spread.
- Rebuttal (2min) - (1) read your rebuttal block to your opponents case, (2) do impact calculus why your contention outweighs, and (3) do card comparison between rebuttal block and opponent's contention.
- Summary (2min) - (1) say why you win the debate (2) do impact calculus (3) refute opponent's rebuttal block (4) extend your own rebuttal blocks and (5) if second speaker, answer opponent's rebuttal block refutations.
- 2 minutes prep per side.
- 1 minute judge led cross-examination (questioning) of Constructive speech after each constructive. Opponent preps and listens.
- Only one contention allowed per case constructive.
- No new arguments allowed in Summary, but allowed in rebuttals (but must answer opponents contention and not be a new contention in disguise).
- Judged by parents and high school students.
- No spreading.
- Emphasis on evidence quality and logical card comparisons.
