Interpretive Speaking (Interp)

You can leave and save comments for each individual separately and then comments to team as a whole. Please make sure to leave something. You should enter your decision first and then you can update or put in comments later if needed or type as you go.● Speakers will perform a memorized published work (except POI) and essentially “act it out”. They are focused on re-telling the story in anew way. You should look for how well they tell the story, portray each character, and create a good performance.

Interps relies on the performer’s ability to portray one or more characters from a selected piece of literature that explores a story, argument, theme, etc.
● 7-10 minutes with a 30 second grace period.
● Humorous: is designed to test a student’s comedic skills through script analysis, delivery, timing, and character development.Competitors may portray one or multiple characters. No props or costumes may be used.
