Event Description:
The NCFL Prose/Poetry event is a public speaking competition where students perform literary interpretations from both published prose and poetry. Alternating rounds: Competitors prepare two programs, one of prose and one of poetry. They alternate between performing their prose program and their poetry program in different rounds of the tournament. Performance format: Unlike memorized events, performers must use a manuscript (often a small binder or folder) for their presentation.
