Public Forum
● Public forum is a cost-benefit analysis debate with two sides: Affirmative and Negation. It is a four person debate, meaning there are two people to a team. To decide who argues what and when a coin is flipped between the two teams.
● Each side will have a first and second speaker which has already been predetermined by the teams, each speaker will give a speech two times during the round, and both first and second speakers will have individual crossfires with the other first and second speaker)
● Speech Times Constructive speech:
4 minutes (Speaker 1) Constructive speech: 4 minutes (Speaker 1) The purpose of the constructive speech is to give each side the chance to present their points that will be debated during the round.
1st Cross-fire: 2 minutes (Both first speakers will fire questions at each other during cross)
Rebuttal speech: 4 minutes (Speaker 2) Rebuttal speech: 4 minutes (Speaker 2)
2nd Cross-Fire: 2 minutes (Both second speakers will be able to fire questions at each other)
Summary Speech: 3 minutes (Speaker 1) Summary Speech: 3 minutes (Speaker 1) Grand Cross-fire- 2 minutes (All speakers)
Final Focus: 2 minutes (Speaker 2) Final Focus: 2 minutes (Speaker 2)
