Dear Coaches:

Here are some final reminders as we approach tournament day of the 2018 NYCUDL MSQI Debate Tournament #3 tomorrow at Stuyvesant High School located at 345 Chambers Street New York, NY 10282 from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm. We will strive to ensure that we end our tournament as early as possible.

TRAVEL & WEATHER ADVISORIES:

The weather should be mostly sunny with a high of 74 degrees with 0 chance of rain which ensures an amazing day for debate!

You can check the MTA Weekender website for transit travel updates: http://web.mta.info/weekender.html

The 1,2, 3, A, C trains to Chambers Street, E train to World Trade Center or R train to City Hall are the trains closet to Stuyvesant High School.

LATENESS POLICY:

Breakfast begins at 7:45 AM. Registration closes at 9:00 AM. If a student arrives after 9:00 AM they will not get to compete in round one. Any late arrivals arriving after 9:00 AM cannot join teams competing in round one. Please do not be late!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS ABOUT THE SPACE:

You are not allowed to eat or drink outside of the cafeteria and the auditorium. Water is fine anywhere in the building.

Students should wait quietly in the hallway until their judge arrives. Judges should not sit at a teacher’s desk or move furniture.

PAIRINGS:

Please review the pairings carefully for this tournament. We will be using school name and last name to identify teams on the pairings. For example, NYCUDL Kaufman & Semple (Courtney Kaufman and Aubrey Semple) or NYCUDL Fogel and McIntosh (Erik Fogel and Jessica McIntosh). Please review the registration to confirm the team is present for the tournament. Pairings for all rounds in all divisions have been released. To access the pairings, please visit this website, http://bit.ly/msqi3pairings

JUDGES:

If you have not listed all your judges yet please do so by registration on Saturday morning. You need at least one judge for every two teams. Failure to provide judges will delay the tournament.
