New York City Invitational Debate and Speech Tournament
2018 — Bronx, NY/US
Text of message
As a reminder, we'll be clearing the wait lists starting Friday. To make this easier for everyone, we've enabled the ability for you to prioritize your debate and congress entries on tabroom.
In Public Forum, we have nearly a 50% overage, so prioritization is most important there. No way we can accept everyone's full entries, but at least we can start with the ones you most want to sent.
LD, Policy and Congress aren't quite so rough, although we are limited to per-school numbers (e.g., 8 in Congress). Knowing your preferences will make sure you get the entries in that you want.
Speech entries aren't quite so complicated, and will not be prioritized.
TBA entries will be treated as real, and accepted as such on Friday. Obviously, you don't need to prioritize these before then. After Friday, however, we will be clearing no TBA entries, so you might want to enter prioritized names for unaccepted TBAs as soon as you can.
Wait list clearing will, of course, be an ongoing process. We'll try to get as many entries in as we can in the quickest amount of time. If you know you don't need all your slots, please release them as soon as you can so we can pass them along to others.
