I want to thank you all for helping make this such a successful event. This was actually the seventh year Parli has been offered by Yale, and the sixth year I've been involved in tab. At 76 teams, this was the largest field we've had. Kris Goldhawk from New Canaan High School, my co-tab director, deserves a lot of credit for doing all the work of tab while I was running around yelling at people.
All in all, we did pretty well on Saturday, given the long walk to LOM. But please come back next year and we will see if we can get you out even earlier!
I have posted various standard reports: box scores, team rankings, awards. I have also posted all of the motions, including those we did not use in the final round (congratulations again, Regis!). I delivered the ballots into the hands of a YDA member who promised me they would be scanned and posted, probably one file per round and one additional file for all the elims. Look for them in the next couple of days.
I am very interested in any and all suggestions to improve and extend Parliamentary debate. If you have comments on any aspect of the tournament please feel free to email me. If you know of a similar Parli event looking for attendees, I'd be happy to pass the information on to my mailing list.
I will be at the UPenn tournament, the Liberty Bell Classic, in February. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
