North Texas Longhorns District Tournament
2019 — TX/US
Text of message
Here are some things you need to know about Thursday.
Please be there no later than 8:15am. 8:00am would be even better. We need to let folks know where they are competing, take the oath of office, and generally, get things started by 8:30am. We will be in the upstairs rooms at the Technology Learning Centers. We will not have the big room downstairs. So, when you get there, plan to come upstairs.
Please impress the following on your students. We are expected to have 10 minutes of DEBATE for each student in the chamber. In the House chambers with 18 people, that means 180 minutes or a full 3 hours. If a chamber recesses, the time stops. So, if the chamber decides to take breaks every half hour, that extends the debate even longer. Impress on your students that it is desirable for them to stay in the chamber and debate.
Please have your pizza orders to Chris Agee by tomorrow. He sent out an email earlier this week. If you didn't get it, let me know.
Please also review the communication from last week. We will be piloting the internet use rules. Docket order is determined by the students. PO elections take place in chamber. At least, that's what I understand.
If you have other questions, please feel free to ask. See you Thursday
