We got through last evening very well. As we move forward, we will have things to consider, but a very smooth and successful evening.

Logistically, there were a couple of issues. Please remind your students (and judges if necessary) that if they unplug something to use an outlet for their computers, it would be most appreciated if they plugged it back in when they finished. Especially if it's something like, I don't know, a refrigerator. Yeah, that happened. Not that I'm upset, but let's demonstrate some common courtesy and thoughtfulness if we can.

Sorry, hit send too soon. It has come to our attention that the other district is planning on using online ballots in IE's. A majority of the  district committee has made the decision to do the same. What does that mean for you? First, we will still be distributing sections/schedules online. You can still signup to follow your students. We will still plan to post paper postings in the cafeteria. So, what is the difference? The vast majority of your judges will be getting their assignments online. If they choose to get a paper ballot, we will certainly print one for them. The major difference is this: When we use paper ballots, the only thing that is printed and used is the mastor ballot. The judge does not have to offer a rationale or reasons for the rankings they are giving. When using the online version, the judge has the option of giving each student individual comments. So, in short, you get the reasons and rationale. We hope that you will embrace this change.

Please remember that the interp events begin tomorrow at 8:30am. We gave you that schedule earlier. Please be aware of that.

EXTEMP DRAW  The extemp draw will take place in C125 which is our Lecture Hall.

See you later today and definitely tomorrow.
