LD Schedule

Lincoln Douglas debate at the Minneapple will be hosted at two sites to best accommodate each division.  Varsity will be held at Falcon Ridge Middle School while Junior Varsity and Novice will be held at Valley Middle School.

On Friday, November 8th, 2020, registration for all divisions will take place at Apple Valley High School.  Shuttle buses will be available to take Novice competitors to Valley for Round One and to Elimination Rounds at AVHS (see schedule).  Judges can report directly to each site.

Decision Times

This year at we are implementing a decision time VLD. Decision time simply means there will be a deadline by which the judge must make a decision in each debate. Each round’s decision time deadline is based on the Tabroom pairing start time. If the judge does not enter a decision in tabroom by the decision time, it is within the Tabroom’s power to randomly assign the winner of that debate. We do intend to enforce this but hope we don't have to.

For prelims we will enforce a 75 minutes decision time for elims it will be 80 minutes. 

Saturday Unified Elim schedule: Varsity/JV/Novice

All elimination round in LD will take place at FRMS. The number of elim rounds in NLD and JVLD may vary depending on the number of debaters entered in each division.
