Judges

Speech: Teams must bring one judge for every six speech entries or fraction thereof. Each missing speech judge will cost $35. Speech judges may also count as Congress judges.

Congress: Teams with Congress entries will be required to provide one Congress judge per six Congress entries or fraction thereof. To enter Congress judges, add them in the Speech judge category and type “Congress” in the judge notes field. Each missing Congress judge will cost $35.

Debate: Teams must bring one debate judge for every two debate entries or fraction thereof. There will be very few extra debate judges on hand, so each team must fulfill their debate judge quota or reduce the entry. 

Because our speech events usually have large entries, we are forced to hold two flighted prelim rounds for speech events so our school building is able to accommodate the tournament. If possible, we will place two-judge panels in each prelim room in speech events to maximize the number of ballots students get back and to make the break to finals fairer. Congress will have two scorers and one parliamentarian per session. Debate prelim rounds will have one judge in each round. Final/out rounds in speech and debate events will have three-judge panels.
