MLW Coach Award

Megan Loden West, former Director of Cypress Bay DeBayte, is highly regarded in this community for both her commitment to our program and for her groundbreaking success as a high school coach. Now an award-winning administrator, Mrs. West continues to play an integral part in starting new careers in the field of speech and debate education across Broward County.

In a short amount of time, Mrs. West instrumentally helped bring the Cypress Bay Debayte Team and Broward Debate to unprecedented national success. This award commemorates the tremendous impact one person has had on our community and celebrates the impact potential of a rookie coach who shows to be committed to the craft of coaching and a passion for the art of teaching.

If you'd like to nominate a new coach to receive this award please fill out this google form. A qualifying coach will be in their first 5 years of high school coaching, have national and regional success, and goes above and beyond to provide opportunities for their students (just as West did).
