Dear Speech Coach:   

You and your team are invited to a speech tournament to be held at Fargo Davies High School on Saturday, March 24th.  All fourteen speech events plus POI will be offered, and run as qualifiers if there are numbers. 

Please note:

●     Students can sign up for multiple events. If they enter more than 2 events, prep time may be limited. Two prep events may limit prep time to 1/2 an hour or less.  If students enter more than 2 events, there is no guarantee that they will be able to do all the events they are registered in. Rounds will not be delayed for multiple entered students. We will do our best to help with this, but there are no guarantees.

●     If two events are in the same flight and one is a prep time event, prep time might be limited.

●     $6.00 per individual entry/ $12 per duo. Checks should be made to Fargo Public Schools c/o Denise Johnson, forensics.

●     Please furnish one judge for every 6 entries.  Please do NOT supply more than FIVE judges who have to be coded against your school. Judges must be certified through NDHSAA. Hired judges are $75.00/ judge.

●     Indicate any 7^th, 8^th, or new to speech 9^th grade competitors on your registration with an asterisk.  Recognition will be given for students who are in 7^th -8^th grade and new to speech 9^th graders.

●     Do not forget to bring your Language Content form.  There may additional extemp questions as often there are not enough.  We will use the published ND list and draw additional questions from Time, USNWR, Newsweek, and Business Week.

Concessions will be available for purchase at the school.  You will not have time to leave the tournament site for food. ALL FOOD AND DRINK NEEDS TO BE LEFT IN THE COMMONS AREA.

Entries are due on Sunday, March 18th by noon.  Please email them to hydeg@fargo.k12.nd.us. Adds can be made until Tuesday, March 15th at noon.  Fees will be assessed at that time. Drops can be made until that time without penalty.  Please send any additional judge names that you may have.
