Dear Debate Team,

              You are cordially invited to the 2017 Davies Debate Tournament which will be held this year at Fargo Davies High School on Friday, December 15th, starting with registration at 3:30 and rounds will begin at 4:00 PM.

We will be offering Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum debate and will have all of the divisions that numbers allow.  The topics will be as follows

PF - Resolved: NCAA student athletes ought to be recognized as employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

LD - Resolved: Wealthy nations have an obligation to provide development assistance to other nations.

Registration: is due by Sunday, December 11^th . You can register online at www.davies.tabroom.com or send registration to Denise via email. YOU CAN MAKE CHANGES WITHOUT PENALTY UNTIL 5:00 ON Monday, Dec. 11^TH

Fees will be assessed on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 8 AM. Changes after that time will be expected to be included in your fees and judging requirements will be expected to be fulfilled.

  IMPORTANT        

Judging: Due to the time constraints of the tournament, you will need to bring 1 judge for every 2 LDers or 2 PF teams.  Students will have at least 3 rounds if possible. 

 All judges must be certified through the NDHSAA.  

Fees are as follows:

                         $10.00 per LD debater

                         $15.00 per PF

                         $70.00 per hired judge
