MS Speech and Debate Tournament

Saturday, May 6^th, 2017

Stilwell is proud to announce the Stilwell Jr. High Invitational, to be held on Saturday, May 6^th, 2017 at Stilwell Jr. High School.  This is our first MS tournament and we hope that you will consider joining us – all schools are welcome! 

Junior High / Middle School programs have been growing in the state of Iowa for many years, due largely to the efforts put forth by Tim Sheaff of Dowling Catholic High School.  As the number of interested schools has grown, so has the desire for more opportunities for participation in speech/debate activities. 

This year, MS students will have two opportunities to compete in interscholastic speech/debate activities, as follows:

 ü  DM East hosting May 6^th – main contact is Lauren McCool (with Dave McGinnis hosting additional events at Stilwell Jr High)

 ü  Bettendorf hosting May 13^th – main contact is Joe Rankin

The tournaments are not as seamlessly integrated as previous years, but will offer 2 great opportunities for MS students to compete.
