1st Annual Congressional Debate Tournament

Young Genius, Speech and Debate Academy is inviting you to Middle and Elementary School Congressional Debate Tournament in Palo Alto, CA.
Middle school and elementary school students will be separated into different divisions and will only be debating with their own peers. Thus, 4-5th graders who will be in the Elementary School Congressional Debate division and 6-8th graders who will be in the Middle School Congressional Debate division are welcome to register for the tournament.
Both divisions will debate a total of 3 rounds, one bill/resolution per round. Please see the Young Genius Congress Tournament Docket and Procedure Handbook for the tournament legislation and further rules.

There is plenty of free parking in the back.
Judges will be provided for Young Genius's Congress Tournament by Bay Area High School Speech and Debate clubs.
Lunch and snacks will be provided for all chaperones and competitors.
The use of any electronic devices such as laptop computers, iPads, and/or cell phones during Congressional debate rounds is not permitted.
Registration fee per student: $25. Please make checks payable to Young Genius.
