The Harvard-Westlake Debates are a number of events that will take place in January, over the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday.

*Varsity Lincoln-Douglas is an Octafinals bid to the Tournament of Champions.

Public Debate on Civil Rights to commemorate the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

 Note: If you are interested in participating in Public Forum, please head over to oakwood.tabroom.com to register and to find information. Although we are two separate tournaments, we are sharing the tournament hotel block.  

Dates to Remember

On Monday, December 5 all invoices will be adjusted to reflect current entries and judge obligations. Those with missing judges will be notified.

Monday, December 12, All Fees Frozen, Deadline for requesting hired judges. Any missing judge will be filled in with a hired judge that you’ll be responsible for paying for.

Fees as explained in pages on this website supercede fees that might be in the registration system itself.

The events of the weekend will take place at our tournament hotel - the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport & the Upper School campus of Harvard-Westlake School.

We would ask that all teams traveling to LA for our tournament stay at the designated tournament hotel. All schools will be charged a $150.00 hotel fee that will be waived if your team stays in the tournament hotel block.

Last year a couple of schools decided to drop over 20 entries (and the judges they were hiring from the tournament) only a week out from the tournament. We lost literally thousands of dollars. December 10 is the drop dead, all fees are frozen. Please read through all the event information so you understand all the fees.
