TENTATIVE SCHEDULE for Saturday October 17:
JUDGING:
Please provide 1 judge for every 4 entries. This will be a large tournament, so please enter your students and judges as soon as possible, and no later than Wednesday, October 17 at 5:00pm!
AM Judge Shift 7:30am - 12:30pm
PM Judge Shift 12:00pm - 6:00pm
We are using online balloting for speech - ALL judges must have a linked Tabroom account in order to judge. This is a document that helps explain the Asynchronous Judging portion. All judges must attend the AM or PM judge instructions in the judges room. (see schedule above).
We request all judges review this Cultural Competence Judge Training document, created by the NSDA to ensure the most equitable environment possible.
Navigating Classrooms.Cloud
Here is a useful website with instructions for judges, coaches, and competitors about how to use our online tournament hosting platform classroom.cloud. Make sure each participant has familiarized themselves with navigating tabroom.com and the classrooms.cloud format. There are a number of instructional videos.
IMPROMPTU
Speakers will enter the room one at a time. To see assigned Impromptu Speaker Report Times click here. This document may be adjusted as the tournament goes on. After speakers finish they will leave the room. Judges will deliver the three topic choices each speaker will have by putting them in the chat. Judges will time prep and speech delivery and give time signals.

COACHES / TOURNAMENT STAFF:
Coaches need to be available at all times for the tournament to be able to contact. More info to come. (a coaches zoom room link with a schedule of when to check in)
*If a live final round will not work for your student due to extreme / extenuating circumstances please notify the tournament director before the end of round 3 and we will do our best to find a reasonable accommodation.
***ALL JUDGES & COMPETITORS MUST HAVE A LINKED TABROOM ACCOUNT! This is non-negotiable. IT IS MANDATORY!
ENTRY / TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE:
Registration should be completed via Tabroom.
The registration deadline for entries and judges is 5:00pm on Wednesday, Oct. 14
Drops after Thursday, Oct 15 at 5:00pm will be assessed a late fee.
UPLOADED PRELIM VIDEOS ARE DUE ON Thursday, Oct. 15 by 5:00pm for all events except impromptu and extemp. On Tabroom there is a box to place the youtube video link on each student entry. Click on the “edit” button next to their entry name, and it will take you to an Entry Details page, where you can paste the “Link to performance video” and then press save. Make sure the youtube video is marked as unlisted (only people with the link can view) or public (anyone can view). Coaches should double check the video links work!

Extemp and Impromptu will run live rounds with automated draw through the classrooms.cloud platform. More instruction to come. All students competing in these events should meet in the Student Lounge (link at bottom) at 7:15am for instructions.
ALL FINAL ROUNDS WILL BE LIVE! (except Duo)
DUO will run ONLY asynchronous rounds - we will have four rounds and rank the entries based off of those ranks.
