The Leaders In Forensic Education Institute proudly announces our inaugural Online High School Speech Summer Camp Program. This camp is primarily intended for students in high school or students entering high school participating in competitive speech events sanctioned by the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA). We do allow middle school students to register for the program, but ask that students be at least 14 years old. Students will be able to learn a variety of public speech events in both lecture and lab formats similar to an online college course.

Our program will be offered exclusively in an online format. Students will receive instruction through daily lectures and lab sessions on Zoom and will submit assignments through the Power of Public Speaking (POPs) - an integrated platform where they will receive detailed feedback from our instructors.

Our summer speech camp program will take place online by highly trained instructors who are passionate about public speaking. We will give high school opportunities for high school students create and build speeches sanctioned by the National Speech and Debate Association within three speech categories: public address, oral interpretation and limited preparation speech. The dates for our camps are:

If FOUR OR MORE people from your high school are planning on attending, EACH student is given a $100 discount off from base tuition.

SPEECH MINORS

If you would like to work on multiple speech events during the summer, you can enroll in MINORS. You can enroll in MINORS simply by enrolling in another cohort session after attending your first one! This is ideal for those who want to compete in more than one speech event during the year. Students can minor in ANY EVENT regardless of what their major is (for example, a Public Address major could minor in POI).
