Online Oration Pre Nats

2020 — Gainesville, GA/US

Greetings Colleagues,

Our aim is to offer an online tournament in preparation/to stay in practice for Nationals, and for any who would like to pick up practice and points to either stay current or perhaps to get started with the pursuit, as a head start on next season.  You will HAVE to provide judges, as we cannot operate without them.  We will need email addresses, mailing addresses, and phone numbers (mostly for a contact list for ALL competitors and judges, but also for mailing any checks and certificates).

Divisions we hope to include (based upon numbers, of course):  IEs (except Impromptu and Duo), Congressional Debate, LD, PF, BQD, and WSD.

Tentative Schedule (Be aware we may truncate or compress schedule and/or divisions as need arises):

Wednesday, May 20: Contact information and pre-recorded Speech pieces (all but EX) due by 10AM, and contacts distributed via email later in the day.

Thursday, May 21:

Extemp rounds will be run in "real time," via Zoom sessions (volume of entries may necessitate compression of rounds or carry over to next day); All other speech divisions will be run using a single pre-recorded performance of the Speaker's piece.

Awards will be certificate only (we will need mailing addresses), and fees per entry $10 each ($15 for PF/WSD teams).
