Dear Coaches and Students,

On behalf of the Administration and Speech Team at Barbe High School, I would like to invite you and your team to the Alfred M. Barbe High School Speech & Debate Tournament November 15-16, 2019.

The tournament will run the events of O.I., Oratory, Declamation, Impromptu, Extemp, Dramatic Interp., Humorous Interp., and Duo Interp. We will also be running Congressional Debate, Public Forum, ALD and NLD.

I am so thankful for the Administrative assistance of Coach Donald Broussard of Baton Rouge Magnet High School! Barbe High School has not hosted a Speech & Debate Tournament for many years, and I'm hopeful that this tournament will mark the beginning of the return of Lake Charles Speech & Debate Tournaments! I'm looking forward to the challenge of hosting this tournament and to becoming fully immersed into the world of Louisiana High School Speech and Debate.
