Welcome to the 2019 Valley Mid-America Cup!

The Mid-America Cup offers open (varsity) divisions in policy, Lincoln-Douglas, and public forum debate. The Tournament of Champions has designated our event as an octofinals-level bid in Lincoln-Douglas, and as a semifinals-level bid in both policy and public forum.

Our tournament takes place on Saturday, September 21, through Monday, September 23. Policy prelims and elims through octos will take place at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. Lincoln-Douglas prelims and elims through octos will take place at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School, also in West Des Moines. Quarterfinals through finals for both policy and Lincoln-Douglas will take place Monday morning at the West Des Moines Marriott on Jordan Creek Parkway. This is also our tournament hotel.

Public forum rounds will be at Valley High School. The public forum division will conclude on Sunday evening. 

The tournament is immediately preceded by the Valley Round Robin Extravaganza, featuring the Sophomore Throw-Down, an LD competition for sohomores only; the Valley LD Round Robin, for varsity LD debaters; and the Valley PF Round Robin.
