The Nova Debate Team cordially invites you to attend the 2019 Titan Invitational, held at Nova High School on October 5 and 6th. The Titan Invitational will offer quality competition in three debate categories:  Lincoln Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, and Congressional Debate, as well as excellent fields in seven Individual Events: Mixed Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Program Oral Interpretation! As in years past, we are privileged to offer bids to the Tournament of Champions in the following categories:

Congress - Top 16

Gold PF - Semifinalists/Finalists

Silver PF - Quarters

IE (Extemp, OO, Info, HI, DI, Duo, POI) - Awards based on total # of entries

Events

We will be offering Open/Varsity divisions in Public Forum Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Congressional Debate, Mixed Extemporaneous Speaking, Informative Speaking, Original Oratory, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Program Oral Interpretation. All events will follow NSDA rules.

 EXTEMP TOPIC AREAS: US ECONOMY, GLOBAL ISSUES, US SOCIAL ISSUES, INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS, and 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

- PF Format will be following new NSDA rules and will be featuring

- 3 minute Summary

- 3 minutes of Prep Time

- Congressional Debate will have shorter sessions with smaller chambers!!!

- Extemp competitors will be allowed access to the internet for prep.  No live communication is permitted.

- Wifi information will be given at registration and in the prep room.

- LD and PF will use the September/October Topic. This will be great preparation for students competing at other National

competitions this year.
