Welcome to the Wildcat Classic at the NEW Valdosta High School!  We look forward to hosting you in our new building as we realize the truth of Ralph Waldo Emerson that "Speech is power: speech to persuade, to convert, to compel." 

High School Events: Big Questions, Congress, Lincoln Douglas (Novice and Varsity), Public Forum (Novice and Varsity), Extemp, Oratory, Informative, Impromptu, Dramatic Interp, Duo Interp, Humorous Interp, and POI.  

Middle School Events: Big Questions Debate, Impromptu, Just Talk, and Daily Show.

Awards

Please note:

Ø  We will be awarding first and second place sweepstakes winners, team and speaker awards in all debate divisions and at least the first three places in each individual event. 

Ø  Onsite registration will be at 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM on Saturday morning.  

Ø  The school’s wireless internet system will have open access in all classrooms.

Ø All Judges need to have a tabroom.com account.

Ø  Hired judges are in short supply.  You must specifically request hired judges and we will try to fulfill your requests.  Please plan to provide as many judges as you can to fulfill your team’s commitment. 

Ø  Please follow the Georgia Forensic coaches Association rules regarding novice division debaters.

Ø  Public Forum and Lincoln Douglas debate will be using the September/October topics
